I can agree with the frustrations. Although I use P3D, I had these very same problems in FSX. I have never succeeded in getting external power working on either platforms and the same goes with the battery rundown with the APU running.

I wonder Mark, have you set you battery to infinite?

It's strange that it affects some of us all the time while others not at all.
