Title: KC-130 variant
Post by Kent Blackwood on Jun 6th, 2013 at 4:06pm
Hello,

I just bought the 130 All-in One pack, and I'm very impressed. Well done.

There is one discrepancy with the KC-130 USMC model that, while it may seem trivial, really got my attention. This particular aircraft, BuNo 149796 was with two of my squadrons, VNGR-234 (NAS Glenview, IL) and VNGR-352 (MCAS El Toro/MCAS Miramar) in the early to mid 80's. It's an F model and, as such, does not have external fuel tanks. I certainly don't mean to belittle the efforts of Captain Sim; just pointing this out. I flew as a First Mechanic on it quite a bit while at Glenview (when I wasn't bubble-chasing).

796 also was with VMGR-152 (Okinawa) in the 60's and was flown in Vietnam. It's currently in mothballs at AMARC. It would be fantastic if someone produced paint that reflected the earlier scheme-white and grey.

Thanks much

If you go to the ACE you can select to remove exterior fuel tanks

I thought you meant the Refueling Pods on the wings, not the External Fuel Tanks. :(
