There is nothing wrong with the disk. I have even copied the X Pack disk over to my hard drive and tried to install from there. The same thing happens - zip, nothing!  :(

The Accelerated Expansion [Gold Edition] is new [though I believe it first came out in 2006, when most of us were running Windows XP] as it happens I have my original X Pack which I bought a long time ago, which used to run very well, but in will not install either. I get the same flash zip - nada! :(

I have this crazy idea that enough simmers with older systems will register similar irritations and Microsoft will conclude there is a market for a fix and will offer it to us; otherwise I think I have exhausted my options.
