Title: What's Wrong with my 777 ?
Post by F-GSPP on May 3rd, 2013 at 7:29pm
Good evening to all,

From what I can read around this forum i'm encountering a very bad problem. Let me explain it :

I've the very first exterior model V0100. I upgraded it with the V1000. I downloaded the service Pack V1100. Ok then I assume I'm up to date.

Now in my flight sim I still have the fuel unit in LBS (even if i select KG in ACE). My aircraft is not running cold and dark (don't even know how to put it in that mode, I've read manual without success ?). I can"t select D-TO1-2 ( I assume it's not yet included) but at take off aircraft don't follow the VNAV very well at climb out, and also the speed do not upgrade by itself.

For exemple you set the default restriction 250kts under 10000fts, the speed bug do not update to the correct value after FL100. It still remains at 250 as VNAV is connected and speed has reached its normal climb value (320kts). To be sorter and clear, speed bug on PFD do not update automatically when Vnav is connected.

What's wrong with me ?

Hope you can help me !

Thank you !

PS : Note that i'm very aware of the 777 systems, so It's not something i'm doing wrong.

Théo.

Hi,

Nobody is able to confirm that it's normal to have those ? :

- FUEL only in LBS not in KG
- VNAV Speed is managed by A/Throttle without updating the magenta dot on PFD, speed dot is stuck at 250 even after having reached cruise level. The dot is at 250 but the IAS is at 320 which is normal CLB speed.
-No D-TO possibilities at this time (unless by entering ref temperature) resulting in aircraft rocketing of the runway far to fast !

Is every things above normal ? I've read everywhere that's this 777 is quite flyable at this time. Mine is not... especially because of the speed management in VNAV.

Hope you may Help !

Regards,

Théo

Unfortunately that's the way it is at the moment. Captain Sim are working on an update and we have to wait for the fixes. :-/

Mine flies fine in FSX and P3D with Windows 7 64 bit, and FSX with Windows 8 64bit. I haven't installed P3D in Win8 yet.
