Put it in the CS_B777-200ER_GE
In the aircraft.cfg file, you need to make sure to change these to suit the CS_B777-200ER_GE model. As an example, here is how I added Marcelo's fictional Qantas livery to my CS_B777-200ER_GE model: Here is the original info (included in the readme.txt file in the zip file): [fltsim.XX] title=CS 777-200 Captain PaintX sim=x772 model=200 panel= sound= texture=qant kb_checklists= kb_reference= atc_id=VH-OJB atc_airline=QANTAS atc_flight_number=777 atc_heavy=1 ui_manufacturer=Boeing ui_type="777-200" ui_variation=QANTAS ui_typerole="Commercial Airliner" ui_createdby="Captain Sim" description="777-200ER VH-OJB (cn 32895/483) Exterior Model\n777 Captain 0.2\n(c) 2011 Captain Sim www.captainsim.com" And this is how I modified it: [fltsim.7] title=CS 777-200 Captain Paint7 sim=csx772_GE model=200ER_GE panel= sound= texture=qant kb_checklists= kb_reference= atc_id=VH-OJB atc_airline=QANTAS atc_flight_number=777 atc_heavy=1 ui_manufacturer=Boeing ui_type="777-200ER GE" ui_variation=QANTAS ui_typerole="Commercial Airliner" ui_createdby="Captain Sim" engine_type=GE90-94B description="777-200ER GE VH-OJB (cn 32895/483)\n777 Captain 1.1\n(c) 2013 Captain Sim www.captainsim.com" You will also need to copy the texture.cfg file from the CS_B777-200ER_GE\texture.aa folder and paste it into the Alitalia texture.XX folder. Hope this helps |

Hi Luca,
The following works fine for me. Copy the "texture.ALITALIA" folder into the CS_B777-200LR directory, and remove all files except the following: cs777_1_T cs777_2_T cs777_3_T cs777_6_T cs777_7_T cs777_9_T thumbnail.jpg texture.cfg The texture.cfg files should have these lines in it: [fltsim] fallback.1=..\texture fallback.2=..\..\CS_B777-200ER_GE\texture fallback.3=..\..\CS_B777-200ER_GE\texture\night fallback.4=..\..\CS_B777-200ER_GE\texture\spec fallback.5=..\..\CS_B777-200ER_GE\texture\bump Place the following entry in the aircraft.cfg file which is in the CS_B777-200LR folder, where the X in "[fltsim.X]" is the next sequential number (3 would be OK if you haven't already added liveries to the CS_B777-200LR model): [fltsim.X] title=CS 777-200 Alitalia sim=csx772_LR model=200LR_GE panel= sound= texture=ALITALIA kb_checklists= kb_reference= atc_id=I-DISU atc_airline=ALITALIA atc_flight_number=A777 atc_heavy=1 ui_manufacturer=Boeing ui_type="777-200LR GE" ui_variation=ALITALIA ui_typerole="Commercial Airliner" ui_createdby="Captain Sim" description="777-200ER I-DISU REPAINT BY MARCELO F. VENEZIALE Exterior Model\n777 Captain 0.1\n(c) 2011 Captain Sim www.captainsim.com" Good luck! Fabio |

Is the Alitalia livery for the 777-200LR? I don't have it, so I don't know. :-/
I did add the Qantas livery to the 777-200LR too. It looks like this: [fltsim.3] title=CS 777-200LR Captain Paint3 sim=csx772_LR model=200LR_GE panel= sound= texture=qant kb_checklists= kb_reference= atc_id=VH-OJB atc_airline=QANTAS atc_flight_number=777 atc_heavy=1 ui_manufacturer=Boeing ui_type="777-200LR GE" ui_variation=QANTAS ui_typerole="Commercial Airliner" ui_createdby="Captain Sim" engine_type=GE90-110B1 description="777-200LR GE VH-OJB (cn 32895/483)\n777 Captain 1.1\n(c) 2013 Captain Sim www.captainsim.com" Changes to the readme.txt file are in bold text. And I copied the texture.cfg from the CS_B777-200LR\texture.aircan folder and pasted it into the texture.qant folder, and it looks just fine. |

How would I do that for the Fedex Panda

1. Extract the contents of the ZIP file to a new folder of your choosing. 2. Rename the texture.FEDEX folder -> texture.panda 3. Copy the texture.panda folder into FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\CS_B777F folder. 4. Copy the texture.cfg from the FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\CS_B777F\texture.afc folder, into the texture.panda folder. 5. Open the aircraft.cfg with Notepad. 6. Add the following (after the last [fltsim.X] entry and before the [General] section). Note: the last [fltsim.X] entry in my CS_B777F aircraft.cfg is [fltsim.2], so my next one needs to be [fltsim.3]. Like this [fltsim.3] title=CS 777-200F Captain Paint3 sim=csx774_F model=200F_GE panel= sound= texture=panda kb_checklists= kb_reference= atc_id=N850FD atc_airline=FEDEX atc_flight_number=777 atc_heavy=1 ui_manufacturer=Boeing ui_type="777 Freighter" ui_variation=FEDEX PANDA ui_typerole="Commercial Airliner" ui_createdby="Captain Sim" engine_type=GE90-110B1 description="777-200F N850FD REPAINT BY MARCELO F. VENEZIALE Exterior Model\n777 Captain 1.0\n(c) 2013 Captain Sim www.captainsim.com" 7. Start FSX and make sure that you can see AND fly the FEDEX Panda variant. ;) [edit] You also need to rename the following textures in the texture.panda folder 777_1_T.dds to 774_1_T.dds 777_2_T.dds to 774_2_T.dds 777_3_T.dds to 774_3_T.dds or the Sorry about forgetting about them.[/edit] |
