Title: The "Rocking Effect"
Post by CameronL on Mar 26th, 2013 at 2:38am
Hey guys.
So I was on my from EGLL-KJFK, and as soon as I took-off and armed the A/P I get this "rocking" from the A/P. If I disable the A/P and then re-arm it, it's still there. I had to cancel the flight and I was quite upset. Any help would be great.

             Thanks,
              Cameron

I did have this problem and solved it as follows:

When rocking stars. DIsconnect  the A/P and  look at your yoke in VC mode. It should be making rapid turns left/right. Hold the yoke , very slowly correct the turning until rocking completely disappeared.

If you having pitch up/down again disconnect A/P and slowly push/pull yoke until elevator stop vibrating. You can also check elevator at outside view to see how rapidly elevators vibrating. When elevetors stoped . Then you can connect the A/P.

This is not the way correct the problem permanently, but better then nothing.
Good Luck ;)

Hi cathay,

I suggest you to try the following steps:

1) Uninstall the add-on, clean all registry data [start > regedit.exe (run as administrator) > Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\CaptainSim\ x770 and x772], restart PC and install it again, or;

2) If the problem persists, maybe your installer is corrupted.

a) Uninstall the add-on, clean all registry data [start > regedit.exe (run as administrator) > Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\CaptainSim\x770 and x772];

b) Download it again > Check-in to Customer Support > Select product > Extended Download Service > Get New Links;

c) Restart PC and install the add-on from the new installer.

Pinatubo.

One thing you can try, that should give you the same result as if you installed 1.0 + the VNAV patch. (I haven't tried it myself, since I have the stand alone VNAV patched with ver 1.0)

Uninstall 1.1.

Reinstall 1.0

Backup the .air files and aircraft.cfg files for each 777 model.

Reinstall 1.1

Restore 1.0 .air files and aircraft.cfg files.

This should give you the VNAV update without the flight model changes, that apparently is causing the rocking. (In theory)
