Hi All,

Like Daniel i thought i would start my own livery topic. As you know the below repaints have been uploaded already to avsim and the CS livery library:

Emirates B777-300ER

British Airways B777-300ER

Air France nc B777-300ER

Air Canada B777-300ER

The below repaints have not yet been upload, i will let you know when:

Emirates B777-200ER RR Trent mod.

Emirates B777-300 RR Trent mod.

New - Emirates Skycargo B777F

New - Aerologic B777F

New - Emirates B777-300ER 1000th 777

New - TAM B777-300ER PT-MUA

New - Virgin Australia B777-300ER VH-VPH just about finished

New - Southern Air "DHL" B777F N-777SA

I know its not on my list but so many people asked for this one so here it is, almost complete. Will be Lufthansa Cargo first 777F due later this year D-ALFA

The RR modeled repaints (CS original PW engine with different textures) have not been uploaded yet. I will let you know when available.

On your List is also a Ethiopian 777, this Paint is nearly finished.
Ive done it by myself.
You can make one, but than we have two Times the same Repaint.

Seeing as my eldest son flew from Brisbane (YBBN) to Los Angeles (KLAX) on a Virgin Australia B777-300ER last year, I am looking forward to that particular livery so I can replicate his flight. ;D

Hi Rob,
I am having a problem with your repaints of the 773. The fuselage is dark and has a glossy look. the wings are fine.

Do you know what is causing this as i have re-installed them several times and cannot fix them.

The Emirates B777-300ER is missing the www.emirates.com on the bottom fuselage of the Emirates text.
The B777-200LR doesn't have that, looks like you just grab the texture of the 200LR and made it to 300ER.

I think your repaints that look like that are missing the texture.CFG file

Got them to work. When you add them using the ACE, in the texture folder, there will be a read me saying "add me to aircraft.cfg". Just delete it.

Thanks for noticing my error Kin. ;) As you can see I have now added the emirates.com titles to A6-EMH, A6-EGT and A6-EGO. Currently A6-EMU does not have the titles.

A6-EMH // B777-200

A6-EGT // B777-300ER

A6-EGO // B777-300ER

Go into the texture folder in SimObjects. There would be a file in the texture folder along with the texture.cfg and other files. it would say "add me to aircraft.cfg". It would be with all the repaints of the 773.

Just a short update all repaints (except Emirates Skycargo) have been uploaded to Avsim tonight so they should be online soon.

I have a few edits to do with EKCargo and that will be upload in the next round.

As Daniel seems to be stopping his repaints i will be adding the Fedex Pandas to my list.

Rob, can I ask you where you get your livery details from? Been searching high and low for this and it's the best I can find, the lighting is wrong so no chance to get accurate color description and the 'Virgin with flag' is too pixilated for good detail.

Edit: Also which converter do you use, I can't get DXTBmp or DDS Converter 2 to read the *.psd files in the CS format.

I understand I must use CS, it's the DDS conversion I'm asking about. I found a nVidia addon for Photoshop CS that allows me to 'save as' DDS but I find the options limited.

I'm finding the paint kit hard work. Took me a day just to correctly merge the 3 fuselage canvas's (200 series) 216.75 x 72.25 as a starting base. Yet to add the 4th (300 series) that should be fun!

Hello! It hasn't been suggested as far as I know (seeing as the announcement was made only today), but Swiss is getting some 77W's (six if I remember correctly). That would be a nice livery to have.

Not really Bruce no, still not back to where i want it to be but i think this will be last repaint for a while.

I was half way through the American Airlines NC so i will have to start that baby all over again.. :'(

Rob,

Can you check the Air Canada B777-300ER and correct it when able. The Air Canada text for both sides are not aligned. There is a cut or the other texture file has the fonts higher, so when you combine them...they are not correct.

Hi Guys,

Sorry have been very busy with work lately.

Just an update on my repaints.

Thai �777-300ER has been sent to Avsim so should be available tonight
Air Canada 777-300ER repaint v2 should also be completed soon as i know there was some issues with the titles on the fuselage.

I have just completed LAN Cargo B777F and this also has been sent to avsim.

Emirates Cargo also needs to be completed. Once these are done i think i will be moving on to some more L1011 repaints having just completed the Caledonian livery.

Dennis - CHQ did a repaint of the AAL -777-300ER i have a copy of his paint so can send it to you if you wish.

I'm just sorting the EK Cargo 777F and Air Canada -300ER

Just an update both the Thia and LAN Cargo are at Avsim.

Hi Rob,
great textures, best quality.

I'm CEO to Aeroplano-Virtual.org and use to make my own textures. We are now trying to insert the 777 on our fleet, but I only bring new planes once I have positive for the PK. While looking for the 777 RPK I've notice it is made by parts and doesn't have a master or complete fuselage file...

Our paints have some shading and strips that need a master to get them right.

Do you have any ideas on how can I do it or do you know any master file for this paint kit???

By chance has anyone got the Emirates -300 available? The ones in the livery section of the CS web page go to AVSIM which the repaints are not on there. Also I have checked flightsim.com with no success either. i have plenty of the -200 but no -300. Thanks in advance. :'(

Thank you Markoz, funny I went to AVSIM and just did a general search for -300 under Captain Sim and it did not come up with the others. I just did the search under Mr. Hotchkiss name and there they all were. Thanks again!

To get the one I showed you, I entered Emirates Boeing B777-300 (A6-EMU) in the Avsim search field and came up with that.

Markoz, do you happen to know where I can find the CS-300 in the new American colors? I have seen it in the repaint request here and seen pictures of it but cannot seem to find that one anywhere. Thanks as always and I did search all the normal Sim sites but no cigar :(

BTW, I'm gonna have a crack at a fictional repaint for a NZ/Australian carrier Toll (they have a real world fleet of B733 freighters). Anywhere to go re tips on using the paint-kit or is it pretty self explanatory?

When I get into my account in CaptainSim.org, Select Product -> 777 -> GET Free Liveries, shows 11 pages of liveries, but every link is broken or empty, or the files is no longer available at Avsim Library. Could re post this liveries?

Captain Sim says "+100 liveries" yeah, sure there is, but what about, 100+ available for download Liveries :)

Indeed, I have the same issue, and ZK0OKP is way out of date, that airframe is currently wearing the Hobbit 1 scheme.

I have tried to make repaints, but I have no clue how to use PS, I'm not sure what to do from here.

I think all of the talented repainters ahve migrated to the another company 777, there appears to be very little activity here, I can't even find a Singapore Airlines 777-300ER.

If anyone has time and enthusiasm, and would like to do some repaints for the CS 777-300ER my wish list is as follows.

Air New Zealand:
ZK-OKR
ZK-OKP
ZK-OKO

Any Singapore Air lines.

From the few I could download, it don't say if it is GE, RR, PW or LR version.

So I tried in each, what always happens, get painted in the engine, tail and bottom, but the body gets black. I filled the aircraft.cfg file correctly, changing everything requested.

I wonder, if someone from Captain Sim could read their own Forum and fix this, take an afternoon, check the links that are broken, remove them, and then find a fix. It's better! Anyone here did, I'm sure they're capable to fix it :)

Thankyou for that information iam also interested in purchasing the 777 i was wondering if you can use the default fsx flight planner to do your own flights and then transfer them to the 777 fmc and then load it when you start it up.

I can't tell you how big the download is, I simply don't recall from when I downloaded it.

In regards to flight planning. The short answer is yes, in my experience you should be able to create a flight plan with the FSX default planner, and then in the FMC you can select the option to load FS flight plans, however, FSX does not give you SIDS and STARS for departures and arrivals, so I have found I need to search the internet for charts of the airports I'm using and then manually enter the SIDS and STARS respectively.

Thankyou for that information, i think I will stick with the PFPX then.I just thought that you can just create a flight plan and export it to the Fmc and bob your uncle and you don't have to worry about the Sid and stars and all will be done.

SORRY FOR HIJACKING ROB'S REPAINT TOPIC WITH THIS INFO. :(

I highly recommend both FSC (v9.5) and PFPX. Both are good in different ways. While both can save to the FSX Flight Plan format (which the 777 FMC can load and use), I only save FSC plans in that format.

What I really like about PFPX is that when I add a waypoint and select the next Jet Airway, it highlights the entire Jet Airway, and that allows me to choose the ending fix, or intersection that the next Jet Airway starts at.

I just created and saved a PFPX flight plan in the �.rt format for use with the CS777. It saved the departure airport name (KSEA) and runway (RWY 34R), but not the SID, and the arrival airport (KJFK), but not the STAR and runway. The route doesn't show up in the RTE1 pages, all I see is this:

The LEGS page does list all of the waypoints, so the route IS there to be used:

So PFPX does all right even though I have to add the DEP and ARR info in the FMC. ;)

I don't understand why it doesn't save the the SID and STAR, because the code/source for the .rt files was given t the PFPX devs and that's what they came up with. But it does dave in the .rt format, albeit not that well. :-/

The paint kit for the 772 and the 77W are the same paint kit, you need to select the layers.

It's still too over the place for me though. I don't know where certain parts are in relation to the Aircraft. :-[ :-[
