Title: Elevator TRIM
Post by ggiarda on Jan 26th, 2013 at 5:45pm
I apologize if I'm saying something obiously wrong, but... , B-52 has an "inverted" elevator trim movement.

When I trim "nose-up" the leading edge of the elevators point up, but plane pitches "correctly" nose-up! Viceversa if I push the button assigned to nose-down pitch.

What I am saying is that only the elevator's animation is inverted. Flight dynamics are correct.

Some of you has experimented the same issue? Is there a fix?
Or does the real B-52 act like this?  :-?

I never noticed it before, but you are right, it is reversed.

Thank you. I was convincing myself to have sme annoying "special" control issue... and only on the B-52!  ;D

Do you think CS will ever fix it? Or... do you know how to modify model files to make elevator trim move correctly?

I guess/hope that it will be fixed in the next update. Whenever that may be.

Or... do you know how to modify model files to make elevator trim move correctly?
Sorry. I have no idea. I don't mess with the MDL files. :(

There is nothing that you can do in the .MDL file to fix this, it must be corrected in the 3D model program that was used to create the original aircraft model. Only the developer has this.

Perhaps when this is updated they can also add some empty weapon rails as discussed before?

Pete
