Run the Loader using Run as administrator - Right click on the Loader and select Run as administrator.

You might also need to use the Run as administrator on FSX or the weapons might not work in the another company F-16 either.

It is not recommended to install FSX in the default location of C:\Program File (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X when using Vista/Win7/Win8, because of the restrictive control those Operating System holds over C:\Programs Files and C:\Program Files (x86).

I suspect that you have a permissions issue similar to the person who was having problems editing and saving the .xml file. It should be the thread above yours.

Read through the help I gave him, but apply the changes to your F16 folder and all child objects of that folder (As per the previous instructions, but click on 'Advanced' and make sure you have a check in the box at the bottom of the panel mentioning inherited permisions etc).

I also have my UAC off all that time as it is more trouble than it is worth!

It certainly seems to be permission related, did you try the other bits - setting your account to full control?

That looks like the problem, do you have the option to 'Trust' the installer. Failing that review your security settings so that it will allow that installer to run.

Like I have described in another post last week.

Right click on the file and select 'properties'. Then the 'Security' tab at the top of the panel. Make sure that you have sufficient permissions available to you.
I have mine all ticked as 'Full control'.
Also, make sure the file is not set to 'read only', but this normally tells you if this is the case.
