Title: CS Weather for the CLS 146
Post by aca882k9 on Aug 23rd, 2012 at 3:07pm
Hello!

I been trying to get this to work for the CLS 146. How would i manage to get the radar to appear in the VC?

I guess some lines needs to be added within the panel.cfg? Im not sure? Anyone else with the CLS 146, and has tried this, please give a helping hand on how it should work!!  :)

Thanks!

As far as I know, it can be used just in 2D panels. If you try using in VC, the radar display will be "floating" within VC.

You must use WXR Editor to add radar to any aircraft.

Click on [WXR Edtor] icon (run as administrator) [Select aircraft] > [Add WXR]

There should be instructions in the manual that should explain how to add them to the VC. I have not bought the CLS/another company 146, so I don't have the instructions on how to do it. So if you find the instructions in the manual, but can't do it, or don't want to do it, yourself, paste them in here and I will help you as best as I can.

Mark,

BTW, both of us have CS 767 model. There is an unused area with enough room to fit a new display at FORWARD AISLE STAND. Could you help me, telling how to add CS WXR to the VC?

Thanks,

Pinatubo.

Hi Pinatubo.

No can do. It is hard to explain why, but I shall try.

That blank area on the pedestal, has not been "assigned" any instrumentation, so there are no coordinates to be able top place the CS WXR on it. What I did was add the WXR to every [VCockpitXX] window replacing ALL the VC instruments, but that area remained looking exactly the same as it does normally (like in your picture). This rendered all knobs and switches, in the VC, as unusable, but still CS WXR could not be placed in that location. :(

I must admit that it would be nice if it could be. ;)

Hi Mark,

Ok I totally understand your explanation and it seems very interesting. Could you show us some screenshots of how CS WXR looks in VC after changes have been done?

Thanks,

Pinatubo.
