I just start with the default C172, cold and dark, set at my "default" airport (YMML). I just load the CS 757 and it is in a cold and dark situation too, and I'm okay to do a flight from there whenever I want. So when I start FSX, I can change airplane, airport, time and date and weather before pressing FLY NOW. This works perfectly fine for all the Captain Sim aircraft (except the Space Shuttle :o).
