How does one get the aircraft to perform a full autoland, as I set the ILS frequency, put in a route in the fmc, and turned on APP button, but no autoland light turned on!

to make Autoland possible make sure the right frequency and course are selected in the proper place on the radio page of the fmc do not put the frequency in the boxes on the main panel.  the reason why is when you put the frequency in the fms it ties it to all three computers on board the aircraft hence land3 . when you hit the App botton it will capture the localiser and the glidescope, next once established the aircraft will start descending with the GS once you get below 1500Ft all three autopilot lights should be illuminated and on your pfd you should have Flare and rollout,  if you have all these things then autoland will occur,  just make sure your autobrakes are set and you have your spoilers armed,  and finally after flare make sure to disconnect the AP, (rollout is not simulated) so you can maintain centerline steering during the slowdown phase.  thats preety much it for the autoland, you can find more information by consulting the manual its there for your needs,
