Title: How could i obtain a refund
Post by agent_k on Jul 31st, 2012 at 2:31pm
Hi,
i bought a week ago the captain sim 707-300 base pack. unfortunately, since my computer specs are a little bit old, i have a terrible FPS drop. i'm not able to go beyond 5-7 FPS in the VC and 10-12 FPS out the VC. so at the moment i don not use this a/c.  i read on the CS site under the Store>General info section that is possible make a refund request for an unused product. who should i contact to obtain informations about this refund?
thanks at all

What are you using, a TRS-80?  ;D

If you know the frame rate, it sounds used!  :o

There are many things you can do to help improve your computer performance.

Start here: http://www.venetubo.com/fsx.html

i have already used the venetubo's site trick, but with this a/c i have a dramatically low FPS. my specs are:
CPU: intel quad core q6600 2.4ghz
video card: nvidia geforce 9600 1gb
Ram: 2gb

At most all you would need to do is upgrade your ram an your graphics card. 2gb of ram is really low.

Unfortunately unused means 'not activated'. We will not be able to issue the refund.

I can tell you - you got to check hardware!!!
Last summer i started simming FSX on Athlon 2800+ (1 core at 1800 MHz) 1 Gb RAM and Radeon 9600 256 mb RAM.

I flew CS B727 - and i had something about 15-20 fps from VC. Sometimes it dropped to 5-7, but that happened in big airports with high traffic on.

Your system should give you normal FPS not on maximum graphics offcourse.

Yep it's a fallacy that you must have the latest and greatest in hardware to run FSX.

You just proved it!

Of course newer hardware is better but I get sick and tired of this you must have the latest $1000 processor and even better you must have an Nvidia graphics card to play rubbish.
