Title: Switching from True to Magnetic heading.
Post by AirCanadaGuy on Jun 20th, 2012 at 5:36pm
For some reason my CS 767 AP is stuck in the "TRU" heading indication, I can't find the switch and it's not clear in the manuals, anyone know where the switch is or if there is one?

The switch (#26 in the attached image) is under the Glaresheild just above the Thrust Mode Select Panel.

Thank you Mark!! I like to raise my seat so that only the top of the ADI is visible... I also completly forgot about that switch, since I was sure that the cold n' dark saved flight would always be set to magnetic? Now it's saved as true...

I just checked the 767-300 Cold-n-Dark (KSEA) flight, and you're right, that switch is set to TRUE instead of MAG. Not good. :(

yeah I was a little confused because I only recently started loading that flight instead of just starting up right away and then turning the aircraft off... and when you start with the 767 without loading the cold/dark its in mag.

It seems to be only in VC view, but not on the 2D panel --
