Hello with this new 757 v5.0 update is the update going to be free for the current v4.6 Users or do we have to pay for the update? i don't know if this has been covered already.

No, it will NOT be a free upgrade.

Although this subject was discussed a while ago, back when Captain Sim said the v4.6 was the last FREE update, that topic might be quite a few pages ago, so we'll forgive you for asking. ;)

Ok i'll have a look, i have just perchased 757 v4.6 not so long ago so am hoping i'll be getting some sort of discount

They haven't mentioned anything at all about the pricing, or if those of us with earlier versions will be getting a discount.
I can't see the 757 v5.0 coming along for a while. The 777 is the one getting all the attention at the moment.

Ok i really hope so or i have paid for this for nothing, at least captain sim could of warned new customers before they buy that a new version is on it's way on which we would have to pay for again.

I have no idea on the timeline for v5.0 so I can't help you with that. Many are hoping that they will get a discount because they own v4.x. But I have no idea on whether they will or not. I guess that makes me lucky that I bought mine 3 years ago. ;)

I wouldn't say that you paid for the 757 4.6 for nothing? I have had a lot of enjoyment flying this bird! There were a few bumps on the way but CS did a good job of smoothing them out! I will be keeping 4.6 for a long time to come!

All i was saying that captain sim could of put an advice or something on the product page or before i went on the perchase page to worn me that a new version is being built. If i would of known that i would of waited for the newer version coming out, thats why i asked would new customers of the 757 v4.6 will be offered a discount

Well, seeing as they are only looking at what people have for feedback right know and no screenshots have been released, it's very unlikely we will see a finished 757 5.0 withing the next year. So still plenty of time to get to know the 757.

Acturly i already know the 757 very well as i have the boxed version of captain sim, i perchased the download version as i needed the new update which captain sim wouldnt provide anymore for the boxed version.

If I had been in the same situation as you, I would have waited for a €9.99 sale before buying it from the Captain Sim online store. :(

How do you think I got mine 2 years ago?  8-) Thanks CS for those 10E  sales!!!

The only two that I ever bought during one of those sales, is the 727-100 Base Pack and 727-200 Expansion Model and the 727-200's normal price was €9.99 anyway. ;D :D

That's what I am waiting to do for the 727 as well.
