Title: FSX Fatal Error CTD (Simprop.dll) Post by Jared_Maurtua on Jun 2nd, 2012 at 5:09am
Hello guys, I repaired FSX because of my faulty WOAI Traffic. After launching FSX I get a Fatal Error and a CTD. I went to event viewer and I got this:

If this is windows vista/7 installation, start by installing FSX in another directory then the default directory, for example C:\Games\FSX.
This way you can avoid most UAC errors and other weird failures |

When you repair FSX, you MUST uninstall Acceleration/SP2, and then SP1. Preform your Repair, and then install SP1 and Acceleration/SP2 again. There is a bug in the repair function after the initial release. Don't worry, you won't loose any of your planes! ;)

Sorry but I beg to differ! I always run the repair without uninstalling Acceleration/SP2 or SP1 first, and it has fixed it up every time! And I don't lose my planes doing it that way either. |
