Title: CWS pitch? Post by bud7h7 on May 7th, 2012 at 1:22am
I searched the upcoming v1.x fix list and also the forums but I don't see anything about the CWS pitch. Right now it is very unpleasant to use. It's like having a copilot who is fighting my actions.

Seems to be correct to me. Make sure Altitude Hold is off. When flying with a pitch of (for example) plus 5 degrees, I pull back the yoke to gently increase pitch to 10 degrees and release pressure. The pitch then remains at 10 degrees. Phill |

The CWS is working really nicely for me. It does fight my FF joystick, but I call that a bonus because without it doing that, I would probably push/pull it too far every time.
@PhillRoath. I don't turn Altitude Hold OFF before I use the joystick to make it climb or descend and I don't notice any need for extra force to "fight" it. Mark |

CWS is very good. Nothing to fix there. Do not like the CSW? Do not use it. ;) |

Most of the time if I want to pitch one way, I first have to push the opposite way OR roll a bit, and then push the way I want to pitch, otherwise the control fights me and will not pitch.
I'm not trying to use CWS with alt hold on, lol. There were many reports regarding this in the step II 0.x forum but that forum no longer exists so we can't see those posts. |
