Hi.
I have read on AVSIM it was possible to install WX radar in VC and to do that I have to change something in panel.cfg file. The problem is that I cannot open panel.cfg file (neither another company nor default FSX) with notepad. Such options is not shown. I can right click on it but it won't open as it supposed to. Any suggestions how can I open panel.cfg file and make adjustments? I have administrator rights in my PC.

What happens when you try to open it?

If the .cfg extension does not already have a default program associated with it, then you should be asked what program to use to open it with. when that happens, you need to select notepad (you might need to browse to the C:\Windows folder to find it), make sure you check the box to "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file").

I want to integrate the CS Weather Radar in the another company 737 and B 777.
Try modifying the panel.cfg file but so far without success.
I can say that I have to modify the panel.cfg.

Under [Window Titles] add:

WindowXX=CS Weather Radar

Then add the following at the bottom of the file:

[WindowXX]
size_mm=525,386
window_size=0.44
position=2
background_color=1,1,1
visible=0
ident=11223
zorder=1
gauge00=WXR!wr_display, 81,32,364,279
gauge01=Captain_Sim.r001.P04!P04_radar, 0,0,525,386

XX must be the next available consecutive number.

I.e. Using the default C172 panel, if the last entry in [Window Titles] is Window05=GaugeName (Mini Panel in this case), then you should add it like this:

[Window Titles]
Window00=Main Panel
Window01=Radio Stack
Window02=GPS
Window03=IFR Panel
Window04=Landing View
Window05=Mini Panel
Window06=CS Weather Radar

And the [WindowXX] entry must match it like this:

[Window06]
size_mm=525,386
window_size=0.44
position=2
background_color=1,1,1
visible=0
ident=11223
zorder=1
gauge00=WXR!wr_display, 81,32,364,279
gauge01=Captain_Sim.r001.P04!P04_radar, 0,0,525,386
