She definitely deserves some attention. The 727 was the plane that infected me with that CS steam gauge plane virus. The 707 then blew my mind on the optical qualities and the feeling and I have high hopes for the 737 too.
The bug list on the 727 is long and she sort of needs some tweaks, so if 2.5 would sum up some of the things and render them issues of the past, my heart would beat with even more passion for her.

I'm sure it will happen. We just don't know when. :-/

I think the update is not just a nice to have but a must have, especially for all of us without Acceleration that cannot move the autopilot V/S in more than one direction.

What annoys me the most is to have to load the 727 twice to get the sounds...Do all captainsim products have this fault,or is it only 727?

Although it is annoying to have to load it twice to get the sounds to work. Bit if you give the "Aircraft (reload)" command a keyboard shortcut, it loads quite quickly and saves you a lot of time when compared to pressing ALT > A > A  > ENTER (which requires you to wait for the aircraft selection window to come up on the screen before returning to FSX). It only takes about 1 to 2 seconds for me to reload the 727 and have the sounds working.

It only happens with the 727. But there were sound problems with both the 757 and 767, which have been fixed by in the latest updates for them.

Hi Mark, y agree but y know 1 or 2 seconds is not a show stopper but y think Captain Sim products are the best of the best and it should not be happening on neither product because it lost prestige. There are many items to solve and it looks like if Captain forget the attention on the wonderful 727.

i hope after 737 and 777 they might think of work on older products to keep em up to date. Its good to have all products on the same quality level. as they hitting higher level with 737, - its cool to lift all other products updated to same level :)

Mark Thanks for your reply, I know you found the slution of reloading the 727 and the sounds issue, I have fallowed this advice since day one; It works well. In my machine it takes longer and the graphics go crazy for a while until the plane loads for the second time. As Raul says it's not a show stopper....It's just not what it used to be when I purchased it back when it was v.2.1

I for one would like to see the rear belly door animated correctly. I have never seen a sliding rear belly door like that, it's always been a standard straight opening door. :-/

I recently purchased the 727 Captain, and I must admit this aircraft is in  need of the version 2.5 upgrade! Is there any notice as to when this will happen? I must admit this is one of THE BEST aircraft modeled exterior and interior, gauges, cabin, etc. I truly love this aircraft, I just wish the known issues could be taken care of sooner than much later as seems to be the case. :'(

Hy

I donīt know if an update is coming. Only know that something is wrong with this last version , 2.4 that I bought yesterday, with Iīm getting in trouble. Systems that suddenly donīt work like the built in GPS.  >:(
Perhaps the error is mine but if it is I īl discover it soon. If no I expect that somebody can tell something about. :)

António

Jeff, the CS 727-100 is absolutely correct!

All doors on Boeing (except the large main cargo door on the fuselage) and for that matter most other modern jets are plug doors. That is the door is actually bigger than the opening so they open inward and either turn or slide up before they can open out. The sliding part of the rear door on the 727-100 series is just a fairing over the actual plug cargo door.

The cargo door on the 727-200 has the fairing built onto the door...

In order for the door to open it must slide up first before it can open outward because the door is larger than the opening in the fuselage.

I just purchased this bird... great fun! On thing that really gives me the willies though is to see the outside world streaming by through the slit in the floor just to the left of the pedal. Has anyone done a fix for this?

I did my own mod to remove the non-existent flap '20' setting but I don't have the skills to weld. ;D
