Post by thesmeee on Jan 5th, 2012 at 10:11am
hello all
can anyone tell me how to add the civa ins to the 2d or virtual cockpit. 2d would be best but vc will do fine

ive had a look through a few different forums and not had much luck, even tried the fsx ones, having a little play around with the hoping to get it working.

Thanks

CIVA INS is only a 2D pop up.  It will not integrate into the VC unless the developers put it there initially like they did in the ConcordeX.  So its going to be a 2D popup and there are instructions somewhere here on how to add it.

Hello, I am facing a strange issue with the civa ins and I appreciate help here. I added the civa ins to my cs707 , cs727 and cs737. I know that while adding the coordinates I should be parked at the gate with the parking brakes on and engines not running. I did all of this and I start cold and dark just as I should do.

After this point when I start my civa ins and start entering the coordinates, the enter button lights and the Nxxxx, xxxx coordinates are entered then I press the enter, proceed to enter the Exxx, xxx coordinates, then hit enter to proceed with the align part. The problem is that after I enter the second Exxx, xxx coordinates and press the enter button, the enter button does not extinguish but it remains lit. If I press the way point button and return to the position button, the coordinates will be 000,000,000 //.

Have I done something wrong here or I should do something to get it right knowing that only in the per-installed cold and dark flight, the INS works fine and the insert button extinguishes and the align process works fines.

Thank you

Is this for the 707 Captain for FSX? If it is, then you posted in the wrong forum, as this for the Legendary 707 for FS9 (an easy mistake to make). There is a lengthy topic on the CIVA INS within that forum that would be worth looking through. You can find it here:

Thanks a lot Markoz. As you said mistakes can be made easily.
