Do the ski's go up or down to permit a wheel landing or a ski landing?

It looks to me like the wheels get raised/lowered, but the skis remain in the one place. I have never landed with the wheels up to see if it is okay to do so.
I almost did this in Antarctica X recently, but I keep forgetting to try it (in other words, I lower the gear before landing). :-/

Yes the skis go up and down.
To land on ice , select gear down , then hit the spoiler key , and the skis lower to the land position.
to take of on a normal runway gear is down , but you will see the skis in the down position , raise the skis with the spoiler key,and you will see the raise and lower.
