Google 'Wildfire Pilot' go to the downloads section and download the fire retardant effect. Sorry I dont have enough posts to add a direct link. :'(
(1) Copy the "fx_fire_retardant.fx" file to your "Effects" FSX sub directory; C:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Microsoft Flight Simulator X/Effects
(2) Copy/replace the following lines into the Captain Sim C-130H "aircraft.cfg" file. C:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Microsoft Flight Simulator X/SimObjects/Airplanes/CS_EX2_C130 etc...
[smokesystem] smoke.0=12.00, 8.00, -15.00, fx_fire_retardant.fx smoke.1=12.00, -8.00, -15.00, fx_fire_retardant.fx
(Please realize this will replace the default engine smoke effect for ALL CS_EX2_C130 (C-130H) liveries; to regain simply copy the default smoke entry from any other Captain Sim C-130X-perience aircraft folder/aircraft.cfg)
(3) To see it in action; press/hold the "I" key (smoke command)
Im still working on the problem when the aircraft is set to full throttle the smoke system is triggered and a drop of retardant is let go........kind of makes a mess on the runway. |
Thanks. I'll give it a try. Mark
