Title: New to the C-130
Post by aerofire on Dec 26th, 2011 at 12:24am
Hello Everyone,

I bought the C-130 all in one pack the other day during the sale.  I have spent the last two days reading over the manual and trying to get a handle on this beauty.  I have a couple (first of many) of questions that I cant find in the manual.

1.  I made changes in the ACE to carry casualties.  Saved the file, however the cargo doesnt show up.  I check the file paths and they seem right.

2.  I searched 'engine start' here and got some good info on how to start it up.  The manual doesn't give a good check list on the step by step start up procedures.  I cant find anywhere in the manual where it says 'push engine 1 starter'.  I have looked over youtube, anyone have a good cold & dark engine startup checklist?

Thanks for the help.  I cant express how happy so far I am with the aircraft and its systems.

Hi aerofire.

1. I think this changes the payload weight of the C-130, but not the interior model, so the cargo hold looks the same, regardless of what you are carrying..

2. Sorry. No I don't.

Mark

Mark,

Thanks for the info.  I found a youtube video of someone doing a cold start and I made my own check list from there!  It works great, no failed starts so far.

No worries on the cargo hold.  Any idea where the control panel is for the weaponry on the AC-130?  I saw a youtube video of someone firing the guns via a pop-up control panel.

Found it.  Right click, views.

Wish I would have found this plane months ago!  By far my best payware fixed wing yet!
