Thanks Pinatubo!  FS SP1 fixed the transparency issues as stated in my previous post.  I just loaded FS SP2 and it fixed my blacked out instruments.  I now have all virtual cockpit and exterior views.  Unfortunately, SP1 & SP2 did not correct the view I need most:  2D normal cockpit view where all your primary instruments are in close view.  When the 707 loads after selection..., it is just runway in front of me for the "cockpit" view.  I can switch to the virtual view at that point but then the instruments are too small when I zoom out to get all the needed instruments on the screen.  I will install the Acceleration disk to see if that may fix the normal cockpit view..., but I did follow all instructions to install SP1 first then SP2.  I also uninstalled 707 prior to installing each service pack.  Hope Acceleration install solves my final problem.  If not..., I will be disappointed! :-[
