Hi guys,
please explain! :)

Sure, you just need charts showing you the airway and then you use the VORs which mostly define it with the route between two nearby stations.
Lou has posted some nice US charts and explanations where you could read all the radials and stations for example. You may also find a very good read here. http://skyvector.com/

As an example. http://skyvector.com/?ll=34.26626502913317,-119.05797359473009&chart=444&zoom=1

You can see the stations there, the name of the airways in between and you can read the radials you would have to follow to be on it.

So if you want to be on the J88, coming from the North, you may tune SAN MARCUS VOR 114.9 and set the Course to 103. If you track that radial after overflying the VOR (which is easy to find with the RMI), you'll be on that airway, inbound LOS ANGELES VOR 113.6 for 75nm.

I think the US ones are free at the official sites, but I always use the Skyvector service to access charts or even plan my flights.
So you have both sources, and both are free.

Not exactly.  8-) But that's the starting point of Skyvector I think, at least I didn't click much around to get there. Confirmed, they always start at Long Beach.

Guys, we have to praise the people running such services for our needs and entertainment. That's a free thing and some payware company even sued them (and some other free sites) in the past, to run them down or at least get some money out of them.
So lets always support the right guys and don't hesitate to use 'donate' buttons when you see them, even for very low amounts.  :)

That's a nice one too. They even calculate those charts for you.

Which one, Luca? The second tip needs a free registration but you can see some general stuff without it.

By the way, some great (but not so cheap) KLAX scenery was released today, so those charts may come in handy.
