Title: Small issue.
Post by BIG_nasty on Aug 18th, 2011 at 5:05pm
To whom this may concern,

First let me start by saying that the work on the products from this company... exceptionally well done.  I do however have a problem that has been mentioned before here and in the knowledge base.  Unfortunately I tried the solutions offered for each and as of yet, neither have yielded any positive results.

My problem is that I cannot load the Mission/Flights for the shuttle, even after Uninstall/Reinstall or even Repair.  I also tried copying the files directly into the "Flights" folder as well as the "Kiosk" and "Other" folders with no success thus far.

If anyone could please give me a hand in this matter I surely would appreciate it.  Thank you for your time and assistance.

You cannot load the flights from the FSX\Flights\Kiosk location.

The flights should be installed in your Documents\Flight Simulator X Files (OR My Documents\Fight Simulator X Files). Open the folder and look for the following flights:

Approach
Entry
TAEM

To select the Space Shuttle flights, start FSX, on the FREE FLIGHT page, select LOAD, look for and select one of the following flights: Approach OR Entry OR TAEM

Hope this helps.

Sir,

Well I thought all the while that that particular folder was in the "Flights" or "Missions" folder.  Documents being the My Documents folder was the one I needed and I have taken care of the problem.  Thank you very much for your help, I appreciate it.

You're welcome.

I'm glad to hear that it's now working for you. ;)

The FSX\Flights\Kiosk seems to be a part of backwards compatibility to FS9. :-/
