I've looked around the forum using the search function but didn't come to any conclusion.

Does anyone know why CS limited the number of passengers in both models of the 757? Both aircrafts can carry more than 200 people, but for instance, the 752 only carries 172.

Is there any reason for this?

It is because the 757 is in a two-class configuration vs a 1-class.
