Title: No green bulls-eye?
Post by rklen1 on Jul 14th, 2011 at 12:18am
I have loaded Weapons into a few aircraft.  In my aircraft list,however, the only aircraft that shows with the green bulls-eye(well, that's what I call it) is the CS-F-18.  What is shown in the window of the Weapon loaded aircraft is the added word "armed".  In flight, all works just fine. It is more difficult,but not impossible, to find the "armed" aircraft.  I'm just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this and/or if there is a fix?    Thanks for any help.                             BobK

When you use the Weapon for FSX "Loader" to add it to other aircraft, it renames them to, i.e "Cessna Armed C172SP Skyhawk". It does not put a green "Bulls Eye" symbol on the thumbnail for the aircraft. That is something you would need to do yourself. Don't worry, I'm not very good at doing those things, so they remain as renamed only. ;)

Mark, do you know how to calibrate the aiming on CSweapons?. when im the 2D view with the green aiming circle. when i fire any round it doesnt go where the circle is pointing.  i have try to calibrate by using control+shift 9  or 0, but all that does is increase or reduce the size of the the green aiming site. the red circle comes up but i can not get the green and red circle to match. Is there a way to move the green circle right around the red circle- this will be a perfect calibration so when i fire a rocket or any of the other weapons it goes exacly where the green circle is pointing at.

The 2D view has a straight ahead view and a downward angled view. Pressing the POV hat down on my joystick, angles it down, pressing the "Spacebar" reverts it to the straight ahead view.

It is possible that the [VIEWS] in the panel.cfg might change this (in the Main 2D view). :(

This is what I'm talking about:
[VIEWS]
VIEW_FORWARD_WINDOWS=MAIN_PANEL

VIEW_FORWARD_ZOOM=0.600
VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=0.000, 0.000, 0.000

And this from the FSX SDK:
view_forward_dir - Enables you to change the default value of the view direction. Enter values for Pitch, Bank, and Heading.

Check and see if you have these in the aircraft's panel.cfg. You might have to set it to 0.000, 0.000, 0.000 so you get a straight ahead view, which is the way the misiles and guns work.
