An interesting aside, I have a Dell laptop which has FSX and CS 757-200 on it. I was able to change the static thrust, save the file, and all of the 757-200s' appeared in select aircraft.
Why not copy those aircraft.cfg files from the laptop to you pc using a flash drive (USB memory stick or whatever it is you call them ;)).

The cfg file on the laptop is all Captain Sim liveries and the cfg on the desktop is with two exceptions which are CS is all McPhat liveries. Since the CS liveries were deleted thru ACE and McPhat's liveries added by applications I made changes to the cfg file, saved it, and all the 752s' were in select aircraft so I don't think the liveries had anything to do with this issue. I think the the way to go would be to reinstall the 757 and make changing the static thrust the first change. Then delete CS liveries and add McPhat liveries and make the 30 or so changes to folders and files as required. It's a long process and I am not going to do it just change the static thrust
