I cannot destroy 747s, both on the ground and in the air. Is anybody else having this problem?

I use World of AI traffic so I cannot see CS traffic. Do you mean the default AI? Because I shot down a world of AI BA 747-436.

I usually have to pump 2 sidewinders into them to get them smoking, then a third will send them on the long slide down.

The default AI. I'll try using a bunch of missiles on them and see if that works.

Sorry for very very very late reply. Use world of AI, great detail, and you can choose which airlines you want to see. I have BA and Air Canada. Those programs work with Weapon.

I use ai, and I have almost every package everywhere, and theres always traffic! and no more un-realistic fake airlines! :D ;D

Nice!!! But can you shoot them down with Weapons? Just curious. ;D

I tried shooting down some 747's. They are hard. They take about 10 AIM9's to get. You only carry 6 so you won't get them with that amount. You need to increase the quantity.

Well, I shot down a Lufthansa A-330-300 and a Delta 767-300 Coming into KIAD with the CS weapons, and it's the same.  But they catch on fire faster and more dramaticly than the default. Heres the link to the website for anyone.  (100% freeware) http://www.world-of-ai.com/
