To lock onto a target, select the AIM9 Sidewinder Missile, then press Ctrl+Shift+8 (this makes the target circle (Reticle?) larger), fly towards your target (make sure that you are looking straight ahead in the VC), once the target is within 10 miles you will start getting the locked-on sound. Press Space or Joystick Button 1 to fire. The missile will then track the targeted aircraft until it strikes it. Large aircraft take more than one hit to destroy. IF the target is heading on the same heading as you, the missile could fail to reach the target. In that case, fore from about 3-5 miles for a good chance to hit. With some missiles (most Air to Ground), if you get to close, you can't fire at the target.

Hope this helps.

Keep asking questions, we will help in any way we can.

Mark

[edit]I reload with armament (missiles, bullets etc.) by reloading the aircraft (ALT > A > A > ENTER). I have set a keyboard command to reload, CTRL+R. It also pays to refuel the aircraft at the same time.[/edit]
