Hi.

1. They sure are tricky to start, but they can be started. I don't use the manual or checklist to start them. I'll write up on how I start them if I have some spare time soon.
2. I don't recall ever having had that happen.
3. I don't think you can. I could be wrong, but I think it has something to with it not being available in FSX itself (correct me if I'm wrong).
4. Can't help you on that as I have never tried. Maybe someone else can help you.
5. If you bought it from Just Flight, then the updates will be provided by them. The C-130 hasn't been updated for a long time. In the description for mine in which I bought the download version from either Captain Sim directly, or the FlightSimStore, is "'C-130 X-perience' Pro Pack v.1.3\n(c) 2008 Captain Sim www.captainsim.com". As you can see, v1.3 2008.
