My B-52 was flying fine until I got to about 20,000 feet, when I lost speed and started to stall. I was only at about 5� and at full thrust. What happened? Oh, if it's in the manual, could you please tell me what page?

Well, there are a few things

Starting with in flight possibilities
*Engine failure (were you using an addon that does that)
*Icing - do you use REX or Active Sky or something that simulates ice?
*Did you have autothrottle on by accident and not know it? (I've done that)
*Did you have the speedbrake up by accident (done that too)

Other things - have you modified the plane at all? If so, how so?

A similar thing happened to me awhile back in the CS 707. �I was climbing out of Perth, headed for Sydney all fat, dumb, and happy when the plane stalled at full throttle as I was passing through FL 31 to my cruising altitude at FL 33.

Figured at the time I must've brain farted something. �I don't read the manual or follow checklists as rigidly as I should......or maybe it was just dem darn pesky gremlins again. �Maybe helicopter pilots just aint smart enough to fly big fast jets. �Anyway, the situation hasn't repeated itself.....yet.

The only time I have that happen is if I have empty fuel tanks with the crossflow Fuel Valves CLOSED. Half of the engines flame out. A restart is needed after opening the crossflow Fuel Valves.
Some advice - If you notice that the aircraft is slowing down and/or the Angle of Attack is getting higher, check your engine gauges, you are bound to see that one or more engines are no longer running!

Same for the 707. I have had it (half of the engines flaming out) happen a few times when I have not monitored the fuel tanks correctly. Once a fuel tank is empty, turn the Fuel Boost Pumps (for that tank) OFF and make sure that the Fuel Valves (crossflow) are OPEN. This doesn't apply to the reserve tank Fuel Valves, UNLESS they are the only ones with fuel (and you're in real trouble if that is the case!).

I've never been able to climb to over FL300 on the 707. lucky. I guess it doesn't like me...

Honestly though, I'm a 737NG Captain (virtual) and the 707 flies like a brick next to it. I still have quite a bit of learning to do yet.

I've had my 707-300 up to FL400. It wasn't easy, but I got there. I normally fly at around FL310 - FL370 depending on the Gross Weight.
