The 707 doesn't use FSUIPC either.

I find that the setting of the Brightness Knob (50) gives me a very nice clear, not to bright view on the EVS Monitor. I also find that the best quality image is by switching the Mode Selector Switch to MAP. I guess if you are using an LCD monitor, the angle (tilt) and the Picture settings will have an affect on what setting is best.
