I'm a 1970 vintage navigator on C-130s and KC-135s. We learned the ancient stuff such as celestial, Loran A, pressure differential, measuring drift angle and groundspeed using a downward-looking tube with crosshairs, Doppler and 1950s airborne radar. INS was only for MAC and GPS was an impossible dream. Does the AF still teach celestial navigation, or is it all radar/INS/GPS?  I hope DR is still the basis of navigation.
