Thank you for sharing this Mark. I've never used Shift + 1 to
initialize the CIVA. The doggon system works fantastic for me in the CS B727 (when it's selfpowered :) Only problem is that there seems to be no transfer of power to it after engine start, so the CIVA system (CDU) battery light comes on and stays on after I release parking brake and apply power for taxi. Then of course after about 15 min then red warning light and then after about 5 min the CIVA goes dead. Just seems like the aircraft power is not transferring to and taking over the CIVA system when it should. For a workaround > do you know of a way to keep the CIVA indefinitely powered up by it's own power supply (instead of switching to aircraft elect system power)? Seems somewhere I read that we can delete a *.Isd file in the CIVA folder and let it recreate itself. I think I'll try that tonight as well as default Cessna startup. Also read that toggling the aircraft elect syst battery switch two times is part of the solution to this nasty problem so maybe I'll do that too :) Best regards, Ken |
