Title: CaptSim C-130 (boxed V.  Just Flight) - startup
Post by simpilot1267 on Aug 30th, 2010 at 7:24am
Hello SimPilots,

I bought month ago the CaptSim C-130 (boxed V.  Just Flight).
Some days ago I found the time to test that a/c on my FSX (WinXP).

Well, first I was very dissapointed not to get all models of the exp. packs (e.g. AWECS).
But for the test I have had enough models to "play" with...

The biggest bug I found : Engine Start up

- all electircs, hydraulics and bleed air valves are set correctly (I am sure !!)

- but the engines dont want to start !

- I tried to press ctrl+shift+F4 (maybe something is wrong inside of FSX) ; but no success

- after ONE hour of pressing the starter button finally engine 4 started (maybe it is connected with ctrl+E;I pressed meanwhile ?!?)

- I had to "click" several times (very fast) on the starter button and the other three engines started (correctly ,because I had to switch open the bleed air valves )

- with ctrl+E the engines started from 1 to 4 ( without bleed air !!!! )

I think that there is something completely wrong with the engine start up procedure of this a/c and FSX itself .

And it is the only a/c I have that problem !

Just by the way: the a/c is version 1.3
-therefore I think there is no patch for that problem (latest version already)

Maybe someone could give a hint ...

Safe Landing

Thomas

Try holding the Red Button ON (left click and HOLD) in the VC until the EICAS gauges start moving.
Also. Make sure you have moved the ENGINE CONDITION levers to AIR START.

I can't get it to load on vista or Windows8.1. Any ideas?
                            Thanks, Edmeister :-/
