I wonder if the rear wheels are steerable. �It would be nice if I could get them to turn too. �

yes they are you have to turn the crosswind crab control knob on the aft portion of the center aisle stand. the gauge with the airplane to the left of the landing gear lever indicates crosswind crab degrees just like the real plane.
