Hello everyone, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

hi mate,

I cant tell you about the CG trim

However,

Cost index is basically a link to fuel consumtion,

the higher the value, the faster the aircraft climbs, and cruises [ unless you over wright them in the FMC]

A benchmark is around 100-200 i would say, British airways and alot of airlines are down really low atm, becuase of fuel prices!!

BA Use 0 as a cost index for there east bound atlantic flights

HOpe this helps

Alex

This calculation of CG is not applicable for 767! The value 13, for example may cause 0.5 for trim setting, it's incorrect denotation for take-off. Therefore it another variant should, but I'm myself looking for it.

Just use 37-39% and it should be fine.

Or 22-24 :-)

I use the default value in the FMC. I think its 25% for the 767 and 27% for the 757. That seems to work fine.

But these values can be changed manually, correct? So, there is some formula to calculate it should be, and because this value can be changed it should be depend of something.
That's  what I need to understand and find this formula for correct calculations.

Dear CS staff, could you please advice and explain somethig for this case? You wrote in manual about this feature, for what it needed, but how to do it - there is nothing. Please clarify asap.
(Part V of Flight Manual, p.47, ent. 8 for CRZ CG, p.49 ent. 5 for TO CG)

I used 25 for T/O CG on my last flight and it gave a ridiculous (in my belief) trim of 4 and something. The acft basically took off itself after Vr. I really don't think the 767 needs ANU settings close to a MD-11 (and I like to rotate when I want to, not when the acft does...).

I guess silence answers your question.
