Matt: Just to recap. I now am able to fly the 727-200 and freighter models, like you mentioned before, it was an activation issue... For some reason I installed it and did not activated it?! :-?

Second, I was able to use the NAV/VOR for a minute or so, when I was approaching Dallas Intl, last night, but I was off the runway by a bit... I am still understanding all of this, I was hoping this would be more easily... If I want to follow the pink line on the GPS, I have to use NAV/VOR ON and not heading on OFF position, correct? PLease don't be mad if you think I don't care enough to read all the manuals...  I find reading all the terms too complicated  :-/
