Title: -200 still seems underpowered after 2.2

Anyone else having thrust issues? it seems to take a very long time for the aircraft to build up speed and once in the air seemes a bit weak in the climb.

Well, it's an older airplane... certainly not with the thrust of the 757.  Didn't bother me, though- and I made an emergency landing on one engine   :D ;D

I understand that it's older, but that doesn't necessarily mean less powerful. I've been on many a Delta 727's and they have plenty of power.  I was trying to take off at KSAN and with only a half full plane, I should've had no problems getting off the ground. I've also tried this at EDDN(took entire runway),KDFW(took most of runway), and LOWI(overshoot) It seems to take a lot of runway(more than it should) to get up to speed. If no one else is having issues I will try a complete uninstall and reinstall to see if it's any better. As it is if I have less than an 11,000ft runway she'll overshoot the end before rotating.

Hmm... now that I think of it, I was awfully light when I did my last flight.  I'll have to load her up and try it again.

There is definately a power issue. I was flying from RPLL to VHHX. Normal weather, normal weights, full power, the plane struggled to get above 17,000' at full thrust, never did make it to 20,000' before stalling. The real life 200 has a service ceiling of 35,000'.

I was in the -100, that explains it.  I'll have to give this a try ;)

Well, in response to my support ticket, Capt. Sim says this is how it should be. I am of coarse in disagreement with that response and plan to reopen the ticket. I have never known a 27 to not be able to take off from an 11,000 ft runway when it is under the max take off weight. For now I'll keep using an alternate .air file from a different 727 which is not perfect but at least I can get off the ground.

Hi  :)

About the POWER ISSUE from the 200:

You can change some things in the aircraft .cfg your
one if you wish to have more power.
Look for those entries in the aircraft .cfg :

[TurbineEngineData]
fuel_flow_gain = 0.002
inlet_area = 19.6
change this to 13.6 so it  reads:
inlet_area = 13.6

and:

[jet_engine]
thrust_scalar = 1.0
change this to  (1.1 or 1.2 test it your own i use 1.1 ) so it  reads:

thrust_scalar = 1.1

that should do the trick   :D

Backup your orginal Data before change so you not losing sometthing.

cheers
Mario  ;)
