What Daniel says is the best way to do it. Depending on your weight the approach speed varies a lot, but if you don't have better figures, mostly jets approach / land  between 130 and 140 kts (this is very aproximately) but works usually. 170 kt is to high for landing and can bump a lot and even you can miss the end of the runway at high speed    .
