Title: Flight Director?  Sound dll Blue screen of death?
Post by cwr737 on Aug 16th, 2008 at 5:01am
So, what am I missing.

The needles have gone from being simply useless to not working on my bird.

What am I doing wrong? Power on the AP and the needles don't do anything. Ever. They just remain crossed and centered no matter the combination of the heading/Ap switch (what does that do?) and buttons on the AP sub panel. :(

I guess this is an improvement over 1.2 where the needles did incomprehensible things. So why put the needles in the gauge if they are not going to work?

Oh, and I still got a BSD from the sound file.  Still.

What was fixed in the new version?  :-/

For me most problems has been solved with the 1.3 patch.

The Flightdirector has never worked as it should. This was also the case for the FS9 version. It has been reported back then, but never rectified.

The C-130 X is now flyable for me, but there are still issues:

-Flight director doesn´t work correctly, it simply works like an ils/vor indicator.
-I still need to load the 2D hydraulic panel for the VC hydraulic light to become functional.
- the 2D start buttons doesn´t work, but I can start via the VC start buttons.

All in all the 1.3 patch is the best until now, but this doesn´t mean that it is perfect.

They do work in 2D, but instead of pushing (in) the startbutton, aslike to be done in VC (I know in 2D you can't push the starters inwards), until the engine is started, you only have to click and release the button in 2D like this :

- Click and hold mouse click on engine start Button

- 2D engine instruments panel pop's up.

- Normaly after an few seconds, the engine would start to engage, but nothing happens....aslong as you keep pressure on the startbutton, so release the engine button -> engine panel disapears.

- Now, you will hear the engine spool up after an sec.

At least, so does it works for me from within 2D panel.
