I have always use LOC before APP. There were times when in the rush to complete tasks I was not familiar with, back then, that I sometimes forgot to press APP. The best thing for me to do, was to do a Go-Around, or else I was most likely going to crash (thank goodness I was only flying in FSX)! I haven't had anything like that happen in a very long time. ;D

It's obvious that none of my other advanced heavies are correct then, when it comes to the requirement for me to press the remaining autopilot CMD buttons. They all automatically turn them on and then LAND 3 lights up. To be honest, until just now, I assumed that was how they worked in real life. :o
