Once the Autopilot is switched to APP and the 757 gets close enough, the other two CMD buttons will light up and LAND 3 will illuminate on the AUTOLAND STATUS Annunciator. I have never been able turn all 3 CMD buttons ON. So I assume that the FMC/MCP does. ;) Mark

Thanks Mark, today i was using the middle CMD button, all fine, however, i did a 180 degree turn before capturing the LOC and ILS approach, before ILS approach i hit LOC but it did not automatically centre as it should also the appr button did not execute and auto land, nav radio was correctly set though in FMC, might it be that i overshoot the ILS already and it did not captchure therefore?
However, I was before the IAF and it should have captured it right?
with the FSX planes i had sometimes the issue that whilst still descending app would not work always, might have been the problem too?
anyways i made it with a -77ft/ touchdown and 4600lbs fuel left...thanks for your reply Mark
