That did it :)  Cleaned out my modules folder, reinstalled FSUIPC and autopilot seems to work ok.  Strange how installing on top of existing FSUIPC didn't work, but at least I've a way forward.

Observation though; when flying with autopilot and heading select, there is a tendency to overshoot a couple of times before settling on course.  Seems more sensitive than my another company 767, but maybe I just need to get used to it.  Quite pleased with CS 757 so far, definite bargain at sale price, so no regrets there.  Tks Captain Sim.
