Title: Pricy MSFS add-ons? Post by Captain_Sim on Mar 5th, 2008 at 11:36pm
Thinking about "pricy" MSFS add-ons, just a random Google search on "Boeing FMS" as #1 returns this:
Boeing B767 FMS CBT "It demonstrates the FMS operation on a fixed route between Houston and Dallas. This product covers the FMS only." $169.95 In MSFS English: it's just an animated FMS preview for 170 bucks. What a bargain! |

Good one!
But.... Block B - 757 Base Package $38.52 Block Freighter - 757 Freighter $30.67 Block 300 - 757-300 Expansion Model $30.81 Block C - ACE (Aircraft Configuration Editor) utility $9.23 Block E - Custom Sound Package $10.77 ********* $120.00 I used the old pricing with the current euro-dollar conversion...I paid full price when it first came out 2 years ago. And you haven't set the price for the "Block F/D!"..... :-? Sharon |

:-? .........another questionable calculation.
The C-130 Hercules from day 1 onwards....and just to get the whole "promised" versions complete. C-130 Pro (FS9) = $ 44,30 C-130 J (FS9) = $ 9,99 C-130 T (FS9) = $ 9,99 KC-130 (FS9) = $ 9,99 AC-130E (FS9) = $ 9,99 C-130 base (FSX) = $ 55,99 C-130 pack I (FSX) = $ 43,99 C-130 pack II (FSX) = $ 43,99 Total = $228,23 ........who's addon would be more expensive ?? :o |

I wouldn't call that nice selection "an addon", it's quite a collection.
As for $228,23, well what we can get for the $228,23 these days? :-/ One copy of the questionable FMS CBT I've mentioned above? 4 tanks of gas? :-/ |

You're right. It's quite a collection. And as much as I would love to have it, I could not possible justify $132 US to get it. That's more than twice as much as the FSX cost to begin with, not to mention the hardware upgrade that came along with it. I love your products, but I think in this case it has priced itself out of my wallet. |

Feel lucky if you're getting 4 tanks of gas for $228,23! That's only enough to fill my pick-up twice and then maybe get and extra sniff of the nozzle! :'( |

I'm betting you can tack on another 30 to $40 for F/D as it is a more complex add on, but it will be worth it. Flight simming can become an expensive hobby as I have discovered over the years, adding up my hundreds of dollars in add ons, I most like ly could have got a gaming lap top. The satisfaction you get is worth it. I just hate the fact that once you have all the add ons you have to totally start over including new computer for FSX, which is ridiculous! |
