Title: [FS9] 707 Frames per second
Post by ms2a:sg on Feb 19th, 2007 at 7:06pm
I am considering buying the CS707. However, two simple questions

1. Is the FPS (frames per second) performance of the CS707 comparible to CS757 on machines that match the recommended spec?
2. Have any users out there experienced the same problems with performance of the CS707 as there seems to be with the CS757

Hi.

Don't worry about the frame rate. The B707 is much less hungry than the B757. This plane is just a real pleasure to fly.

Andre.

Since I'm a new owner of the 707, I have found that the VC textures are sometimes slow to load at 1600 res. and even the exterior aircraft will load slowly. But, while in operation, I get an average of 20FPS while in VC and ave. 25-29 FPS with the 2D. My system is certainly not state of the art. It's just a
Athlon 2.2 GHZ, 2 G of RAM, GF 7800 AGP 256MB card, Samsung 20" widescreen with 1680 max res.

Hi ms2a:sg,

I got the 707 a few weeks ago and it is very good. You don't need a hi-performance system to fly it without any problems. Like Joeflyer said, it takes a few seconds for the VC textures to come up but later on during your flight they will keep on appearing faster and faster. Its a cool airplane and you won't be disappointed.  ;)
