Some simmers, like myself, can't get their heads around the highly complex, old and limited CIVA INS navigation system on older aircraft like the L-1011. So having a toggle-able FMC or MCDU to take the place of the CIVA would make this aircraft more friendly to casual simmers and hardcore simmers alike.


The FMC / MCDU could be toggled with either a clicking point by the CIVA to swap between them, or it could be a setting within an EFB tablet.

Or, if it's not possible to swap in that way, there could be a second version of the aircraft with an FMC / MCDU instead. Meaning you'd have one variant with a CIVA and the other with an FMC / MCDU in the aircraft selector, similar to the Inibuilds Boeing 707-320C.
