Hello together,

All captain sim exe files are detected as Trojan:Win32/Vigorf.A viruses by Windows Defender and deleted immediately. Even the download is deleted by the browser! And VirusTotal says suspicious. Furthermore, after installation without AV, ACE.exe is immediately blocked and also deleted. I am aware of the post regarding virus detection, but I find it unacceptable that the download alone is classified as a risk. Can anyone comment on this?

They are all false positives.

There are no viruses/trojens in Captain Sim installers. You just need to add the installers to the exclusions list of you Anti Virus program si they can install properly. It is also best to turn your AV program off before you download the installers from Captain Sim, otherwise they won't work (or won't work correctly).

Even with AV off, Smart Screen sends Warnings.

Maybe Captain Sim should reach out to Microsoft for this issue. I know these are old Products and maybe not as popular as they were a time ago. But still in use and so maybe need some care.
